Gene O. is a San Francisco Bay Area native and veteran Indie Singer-Songwriter who's been named a Chart-Topping Artist on the premiere Indie Artist website, ReverbNation, having achieved #1 in the Bay Area for over eight months and reaching the Top 10 on both their the USA and Global Singer-Songwriter Charts. Gene O. has toured and performed in a number of Northern CA Bay Area bands including Tiffany, Addiction and The Make. and now performs live as a Solo Artist.
He's shared the stage with many Major Label Recording Artists including The Outfield, The Romantics, Jesse Colin Young and the Bay Area's own Greg Kihn and Eric Martin. Gene O. and his Indie Pop/Rock band Addiction were once the unannounced local opening act for Huey Lewis and The News at the 12,500 seat Concord Pavilion outdoor stadium in Northern CA, and received a standing ovation from the max capacity audience after their high-energy show! Members of the Jefferson Starship witnessed their performance from the side wings and gave all the band members high-fives as they came off the stage.
Gene O. has also had the pleasure of privately jamming and singing together with Rock Icons Ronnie Montrose, Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad), Kip Winger, Michael Anthony (Van Halen) & the legendary Boz Skaggs.
